Inspector Drake & The Perfekt Crime
A comedy by David Tristram
29 & 30 May 2009 Cleave Warne Hall, Rochester

The Classic Whodunit Spoof…

We have performed more published plays by this author than any other to date, “Brenton Versus Brenton”, “Last Tango in Little Grimley”, “Last Panto in Little Grimley” and of course “Inspector Drake’s Last Case”.

Our fifth production by playwright David Tristram is a comedy in which lunatic potential is achieved to the point of remorselessness by a cast well drilled in po-faced humour.

The infamous Inspector Drake is called to investigate the mysterious disappearance of Mrs Victoria Short, the fourth and most lovely wife of Dr Rupert Short. The ensuing action proves to be Drake’s most challenging case to date. A warthog named Victoria, a mysterious microscopic mole, two heroines, a villain with an IQ in the stratosphere and of course the blundering buffoonery of his long-time sidekick Sergeant Plod all
conspire to make the investigation “more twisted than a really twisted thing” (Inspector Drake).
